Twin Flame

Twin Flame

Kiss on velvet lash,
Of unspoken promises
Indelibly written on smoky lids.
The stroke of ebony curls,
Like fine silk threads,
Wove unequivocal bonds
Around his heart.
Reflected in her umber eyes
Was a soul that mirrored his own.

A twin flame ignited,
A perpetual burn
Through days and nights.
Every evanescent moment
Breathed newness.
Each night impassioned bodies
Reawakened what
Kindred souls had always known.
In her he had come home.
