Breathe

Read Bukowski today,
Something about pausing.
It struck me in such a way
I paused, the walls were so
Close, I’d been breathing shallow.
He’s right you know,
my body felt weightless
when I stopped striving. My
mind too.

Sometimes it feels like
Breathing is the only thing
I do without considering
Advantage. But that’s
When I feel most alive.
So I breathe.
