What Say You?

What Say You?

Self-righteousness,

eats away at the

compassionate heart,

seeping into every

 crevice of  humanity.

A cancerous assassin

hell-bent on

annihilating all

vestiges of amity

from the human spirit.

That smug,

holier-than-thou,

self-proclaimed

judge, casting

merciless

sentences of death

upon the heads of

free and noble

thinkers.

What say you,

moral crusader?

When God would

endow all

souls with reason

only to become

fodder for

mindless

double-talkers.

Behind  your

pious walls

you have

barricaded your

own heart,

squashing out

the light that

creation as seen

fit to bestow

upon you and

all humankind.

What say you?
